Hi,

When applying for METV from london embassy,

1. For the financial proof, does the 3 months of bank statements all have to show over 20,000 baht for each month or is it just the most recent balance.

2. can i use an cash ISA as proof of funds

3. If my plan is to fly to BKK from uk , return to the uk, and then fly back to BKK over a month later , Should I show all of these flights on the application.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a METV from the London embassy, you need to provide 3 months of bank statements showing a minimum balance of 20,000 baht, not just the most recent balance. A cash ISA cannot be used as proof of funds. If your travel plans include multiple flights to and from Thailand, it's advisable to include all flight details in your application.

A brief note explaining that only 2 months are available to you. Surely you have a lot more than the equivalent of 20,000 baht? They are more interested in you showing financial stability than 3 months of statements.

I do yes

1 - as a rule it is 3 month statement that shows minimum of 20K as the most recent balance

2 - NO you cannot use cash to show proof of funds for the visa application

3 yes, show all the flights which tells them WHY you need an METV vs a single entry

thanks for the reply,

I can only get monthly statements, not a 3 month long statement. The issue I have is only two of those monthly statements will show 20k+ (for months may and june) , this is why I asked about the cash ISA as I hadnt kept savings in my bank accounts, just moved it to the ISA.

Regarding 2. I may have not explained it correctly as it is not cash, a cash ISA in the UK is an individual savings account that pays tax free interest. But is not a traditional savings account as such and may not be seen as a bank.

I am not familiar with that, if it's a savings account and you can show the balance try it, they'll tell you if you can use it or not.

My apologies for my ignorance in the term ISA

I guess unless you are from the UK you may not have heard of an ISA, but if anyone has used an ISA statements before, they may know if it is accepted at london embassy.

Not including the ISA, I have two regular bank accounts, each with over double the financial requirement, but they will only show they have been over 20k on two statements of may and june (which is when i plan to apply) not for the third statement of april. Im not sure if this will be accepted.

Just trying to find out as much as I can before paying the £150 visa fee

Thanks
