Hi everyone, does anybody know how many bank statements / payslips it is necessary to submit as financial evidence in the supporting documents section on the single entry tourist visa, (London embassy). I’ve emailed them a few times to confirm but was just told told sufficient funds to cover my trip, is that 1 bank statement? The latest response I had on Monday doesn’t even show any requirement anymore for any financial evidence. Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirements for financial evidence when applying for a single entry tourist visa to Thailand from the London embassy seem to vary based on individual experience. While some users report needing only one recent bank statement showing a minimum balance of 20,000 baht (or its equivalent), others have submitted multiple statements, particularly when the required balance was higher, such as 500,000 baht in the past. It appears that the embassy has not consistently specified financial documentation requirements, leading to some confusion. It's advisable to provide an up-to-date bank statement that clearly shows your name and address as part of your submission.

Just one up to date statement with name and address

I'm surprised that it's buy all ASQ, flight, hotels, insurance first before submitting for pre approval of a visa. What if visa not permitted with the possibility of no refund ? Seems unusual to me ?

i asked the London embassy about this and they just said not to worry as there should be no reason my visa will be rejected 🤦🏻‍♂️

Thank you Mat, that's some assurance at least.

I applied when the requirement was 500,000thb and used about 4 statements (6months of each though) and that was ok.

Been going to Thailand 20 years now every year, in the last 9 years I've been going on a 90 day visa ,and it's so sad that it looks like my trips have come to an end with all this unnecessary paperwork and quarantine at my expense

For me it feels like a last chance to visit Thailand and girlfriend. If a vaccine becomes mandatory for travel it's over for me as will not accept unchartered vaccine. Got to say the application rather challenging.

What?

RTE London asked me for a recent bank statement showing a minimum balance of £1000 and it MUST show your name and address

I just sent a copy of my latest bank statement. As said above only has to be the equivalent of 20,000 baht.

good to hear. I was just starting to wonder as I wasn’t getting a straight answer from the embassy although they did say it’s constantly changing.
