Hi, travelling out on the 28th October, when I go to do my tourist visa I put in the 35 days I will be staying but it is saying I dont need 1, but I understand that its 30 days now not the 60 any suggestions? Tia
Answer summary
There is confusion surrounding the duration of tourist visas in Thailand, particularly after September 15, 2026. Users pointed out that the tourist visa remains at 60 days, while the visa exemption stamp has been reduced to 30 days. For travelers planning to stay longer than 30 days, it is advisable to apply for a tourist visa beforehand or plan for a 30-day extension at an immigration office. It's emphasized that travelers should check their entry requirements based on their arrival date and prepare for potential overstays.

I'm coming over in November for 30 days but maybe stay longer can I apply for a 60 day tourist visa now to cover my stay or will I still have to do the 30 days visa 72 hours before I arrive
May I have some question too: my old parents are coming for the holidays, and they will have 2 or 3 days overstay (no border runs before), just booked the tickets before 60 days reduced, any good suggestions, thank you all!
RealTouruse they can either apply for a tourist visa before travelling or get a 30 day extension at the immigration office that serves the location where they will stay
