Hello guys I come to Thailand on Feb 2020 on tourist visa(paper visa) and I change to non Ed on Sep 2020 and after the Ed visa I am changing to covid extension till now. Is there anything I can do if I don't wanna leave the country and stay here longer legally? I am 33 years old Chinese.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on how to extend their stay in Thailand legally after being on a tourist visa, transitioning to a non-education visa, and currently holding a COVID extension. The comments suggest that the user may not have further options for extension beyond their current COVID visa and will need to leave the country once it expires.

and on that note we are done. Good Luck to the O/P

Sadly for you the fact you don't want to leave doesn't even factor in to the equation on IF you can stay.

AND the way it is now with this current covid extension program IF you went from any Non-Imm type visa (of which an ED visa is one) to covid extensions you're done now and can't get any more. You can stay until your current covid extension runs out and you could get a 7 day 'extension denied' stamp after that which would give you a week to leave the country.

can't I have the work permit?

nope, you can't get a new Non-Immigrant visa type in your passport because you went on amnesty (which was legal overstay)

As I said, that you want to stay here has nothing to do with your ability to continue to stay.

At this time you have no options, you can stay until your current covid extension runs out, then you leave ๐Ÿ™

Does this also apply to a 60 day extension based on family?

he could possibly get that if he was married or has half thai children. BUT other than that he's done with covid extensions.

Applies to all non-immigrant visas.

Pardon this if this is not a good question - for someone in Mark's situation, is it possible for him to just now switch back to an ed visa?

I'm wondering because I entered on visa exemption, went straight to covid extension, and am considering moving to an ed visa sometime near term.

Ah, understood. Thank you.
