I am currently in Thailand on a 60 day tourist visa, which I will extend for another 30 days in a couple of weeks. Is there any information on when the covid extension visas will end? And if they are still possible in October, would I be eligible to do so?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Covid-19 extension for visas in Thailand is set to expire on September 27. If currently on a 60-day tourist visa, you can extend it for an additional 30 days, but specific rules vary by immigration office regarding when you can apply for a new stay. It is uncertain whether the Covid extension will still be available in October, and switching from a tourist visa to a Covid extension may lead to a loss of remaining days on your existing visa.

So if I extend my TR visa for 30 days on September 6th, I could switch that visa to covid extension for another 60 days on September 25 and get the 60 days extra from Sept 25?

correct. Then if they extend the covid program for another 2 months, the next time you apply it will add on to the end because it's for the same reason.

Ok thanks ๐Ÿ˜. I appreciate the helps. It makes my next few months a bit clearer!

We usually find out if the program is extended 1-2 days before the expiration date. Beware if you want to try and apply early to make the deadline, if you switch from TR to Covid extension, you will likely lose any days you have left on your TR stay.

The last day a person can purchase a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 is September 27. At some immigration offices, you can apply for a new extension of stay when there's 30 days remaining on your existing stamp, at other immigration offices you can apply when there's 45 days remaining, and at Changwattana, it's 3 business days.

>would I be eligible to do so?

We can't guess what the future requirements are ๐Ÿ™
