Hi, does the recent COVID extension program (now extended until March 30) cover those who entered Thailand on Tourist visa after covid and had to do quaranteine.

I arrived on 2nd Jan 2021 on 60tourist visa, runs out 2nd March 21.

Can I get a 60 extension on 1st March, or only a 30day normal extension

Bkk based at the moment.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The COVID extension program may generally provide a limited extension to those holding a Tourist visa who entered Thailand prior to or during the pandemic. Based on experiences shared, some immigration offices may grant a 30-day extension first before allowing a 60-day extension due to COVID-related travel issues. However, policies can vary by region, with some individuals reporting success in obtaining a longer extension directly.

It varies from office to office. You can ask for 60... Might be lucky 😊

I guess it depends on the region. We came in on 60day TR visa on Dec 8th, went to Hua Hin office Jan 20th or so, got consideration stamp for 60 day covid extension.

MOST immigration offices require a person to get a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism first, and then transfer to a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19
