TLDR : Answer Summary
The recent discussions regarding the COVID-19 visa extension in Thailand have confirmed that extensions are currently available only for tourist visas and visa-exempt statuses, while non-immigrant visa holders can no longer apply for this extension. The confusion stems from a recent meeting about potential changes, but the official updates suggest no further extensions for non-immigrant visas. Information on the new 60-day extension has been published in the Royal Gazette, which is the official news source. Users are advised to keep an eye on official releases rather than rumors circulating in less reliable media.
There is no law saying anything has to be printed in newspapers for them to be legal. The only requirement is that they must be published in the Royal Gazette. It doesn't matter what any other newspaper prints. None of them are official. Only the Royal Gazette is official. Why is that so hard for you to understand? There is also no requirement that anything published in the Royal Gazette be translated into any other language. It is officially in Thai because this is Thailand
I'm attaching the proof that the new 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 was released.
You said TWICE in my group that it wasn't announced. I sent you the proof and the website. It's published in the Royal Gazette. I'm attaching the official order. The website of the Royal Gazette is
I already gave you the official news, direct from the source. You can either reject it because it's not published in a online newspaper, or you can believe it.
That is *NOT* The official newspaper of Thailand. That newspaper does not define or publish the laws. The Royal Gazette is the newspaper of record; all laws, rules, and regulations are published there.
The Bangkok Post is *USUALLY* a good source for secondary news.
The Thigar is a good news source for very local news, but bad for repeating anything that's been published in the Royal Gazette.

That's a tabloid paper, and is not the official "newspaper of record"
Source on the meeting? I have the Royal Gazette up on my computer, and there's been no changes to the NEW 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19.
Read whats already been written and published. A decision on the visa was made on Monday.

You heard wrong. Covid extension available for another two months, but only for tourist visas and visa exempt. No longer available for non-immigrant visas. These people either have to extend on a substantive visa or leave the country
