What are the chances of getting a COVID extension on my tourist visa in Thailand?
I am currently on a tourist visa just extended an extra 30 days what are the chances of me being rejected for the covid extension?
Answer summary
Individuals currently holding a tourist visa in Thailand, which has recently been extended, may face uncertainties regarding the approval of a COVID extension. To enhance the likelihood of approval, it's advisable to provide proof of onward travel, such as an airline ticket out of the country within the granted extension period. Additionally, obtaining a support letter from one's embassy can be beneficial; however, the final decision rests with the immigration officer reviewing the application.

As Tod says and if you can get a letter from your embassy that could also assist, but ultimately you're at the mercy of the IO looking at your application. Show respect and wear long pants - it might just sway it

the way to increase your odds of getting one (although it's still NOT a sure thing) is to have proof of onward travel <- an air ticket out towards the end of the 60 days you would get on the covid extension. That way you can say, LOOK, I am leaving in 2 months 🙂 It can help but again it's still not a sure thing.
