Hi all, I just re-arrived back to Thailand on 60 day tourist visa (I hope to extend with ED visa later). I am planning to get an apartment with my friend and sign for a 1 year lease. So, right now, I am looking to get a new SIM card soon, but considering that I'll need internet at a new apartment, I'm wondering what process is best to approach SIM, and internet in probably two weeks or less. Any advice appreciated as to what mobile/internet company and plan I should get! TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user recently re-entered Thailand on a 60-day tourist visa and plans to get an apartment with a friend. They are seeking advice on acquiring a new SIM card and internet service, ideally within the next two weeks. Several community members have provided suggestions, including options from True, DTAC, and AIS, with various plans for data and internet. It is recommended to consider current promotions, the specific provider's installations available at the chosen apartment building, and the need for contracts.

In my experience wait to see what fiber the building you choose has installed and through which provider then sign a contract, get it turned on

Get a SIM card for a month then internet & sim package later. My package with AIS is about 320baht/mth for fiber internet & a 5Gb SIM card. Will take about a week to install. Ask in a store for the best specials they have.

Holger Mette Does it need to sign contract? If yes, how long please? Thank you.

This is what you need, works perfect 100g high speed per month, but unlimited data just slower after 100g.

B1500 per year.

Most phone companies have unlimited data plans, I'm with DTAC and paying about 300B/ month unlimited 10mbps. You can Hotspot that till you get your fibre sorted.
