TLDR : Answer Summary
For a short stay of 1-2 months in Thailand, most recommend getting an AIS SIM card due to its extensive coverage, especially in remote areas. Users mentioned that plans cost around 300 Baht per month for 10-20 Mbps unlimited data. Although AIS is favored, other providers like True and DTac also offer similar services. It's convenient to purchase a SIM card at the airport, where they can set it up for you. Additionally, one comment inquired about where to buy a cheap phone compatible with AIS.

AIS, True or DTac. Arguably AIS has a larger coverage (in the far outer reaches of Thailand) but you’ll not find too many differences in any of the popular tourist places. Buy a SIM at the airport while waiting for your luggage. Yes you would be able to find one cheaper outside, but the 2 £ or $ difference is negligible for the time you want it for. They’ll set it up for you while you wait.

All pretty much the same. About 300B/mth for 10-20mbps unlimited data. AIS if you're going to remote places
