TLDR : Answer Summary
For expats seeking unlimited high-speed 5G SIM cards in Thailand, several options are highly recommended. AIS and True are noted for their good coverage and speed, offering plans around 300 baht per month for unlimited downloads. Users suggest checking e-SIM options if your phone supports it, as well as visiting local stores for the best deals. While there is an expectation for unlimited data, some plans may revert to 4G speeds after a limit. Dtac also provides competitive packages, with users reporting favorable experiences with speed and service. Additionally, free Wi-Fi is widely available in many public places.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

Been with both True & AIS. From personal experience I can found AIS is much better than true in terms of speed and signal especially if you are traveling around a lot.

I wanted the same. I checked for options at many places & realized there is nothing "unlimited" on 5G. The speeds will be reduced to 4G after a a limit.

Please go to an AIS or True store & check directly with them.

shop and top up when needed. AIS and True seem to offer the most signal coverage.

6 years I've never needed to call a Thai number before. Every business or government office has a line or FB account. But eachs own.

yeah I call my housekeeper and make massage reservations. I also find the connection is clearer when I have a longer conversation and works better with sketchy internet than apps.

Look at the e sim options online, presumably if looking for 5g you have a newer phone. Try AIS or True for best coverage
