TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers seeking flights from the UK to Bangkok for a trip at the end of July are facing high prices, largely due to the summer school holidays and recovery from the pandemic. Suggestions for finding better deals include using flight comparison tools like Skyscanner and booking directly with airlines. Travelers recommend booking early to avoid high fares and favor direct flights with reputable airlines like EVA and Thai Airways. Alternatives such as Scoot and connecting flights from European hubs are also noted for potentially lower fares.

Etihad worth the few £ more 😉

There are bargains to be had. But you need to really look around the internet
I found a BA flight but it popped up on a site I didn't know. Turned out it was a codeshare flight I'd been considering - at 30% less. The exact same flight. With Qatar.
Thats interesting although still very expensive. I book Qatar last night and it was £1435 so even with 3o% discount it would be £1000 when i paid 550 last year for the same time and had i booked a few weeks ago was only £850..... its crazy

Check on sites that compare flights, but best to book directly with the airline of your choice.

If you can wait till after August you will save alot of money , I have recently purchased a ticket which was £1440, each day the price is going up

If you can wait I think prices will plummet around end of August as Thailand realises it has lost its place as the number 1 destination and due to additional fees and scams people are staying away. At the moment they think just opening up fully will put everything back to normal. Sadly that won’t be possible and the reviews will soon prove that.

We flew Stockholm to Bangkok in Biz for £840 return. We took Ryanair from Liverpool. Starting your long-haul leg in Europe saves £ 100s over starting it in the UK. Paris, Amsterdam, Stockholm are just some of the airports that generally offer cheaper prices.

Flight prices are showing no signs in getting any cheaper and rising every day. Ive just booked Qatar Manchester to Bangkok in mid July and its £1400 (60,000baht).... thats just crazy and almost business class prices.... i cant see tourists floiding back to Thailand with these prices.
July/August are probably the worst months to book flights from the UK due to the school summer holiday period. I always fly direct with either Thai or EVA, there's not much between them however I'd generally pick EVA over Thai

Thai Airways, direct from Heathrow but prices are high now! we fly end of July also but booked in Feb when prices where much lower, doesn't help much on prices now for you but next time around, book early
The Airlines are trying to claw back some of the losses they incurred during the scamdemic so they're busy scalping everyone. They're not offloading cheap seats to the Bucket shops ATM because demand is outstripping supply. Have a trawl around the Airlines websites is probably your best bet.
I always find them good been using them for 20 years

Prices are manic. Use something like Skyscanner to find flights you like and a price you can afford, but book directly with the airline to save you any hassles if you need to change.
i fly internationally at least once a month. I never saw prices this high it’s driven by higher demand people can finally fly, higher fuel costs, and cancelled flight routes that have not been reinstated. I have encountered many flights that are sold out. it will get better probably around september
