TLDR : Answer Summary
The community discusses various strategies for finding the cheapest flights from Atlanta (ATL) to Pattaya, emphasizing that there are no direct flights to Pattaya, and travelers must fly into Bangkok (BKK) and take a taxi or bus to Pattaya. Users suggest utilizing flight search engines like Skyscanner and Google Flights, as well as booking directly with airlines for the best deals. They note that flight prices are dynamic and can fluctuate based on demand and seasonality. Suggested airlines include EVA Air, Turkish Airlines, and Qatar Airways, and users recommend checking prices frequently and being flexible with travel dates for the best options.
I’ve found best prices on Priceline. I flew from Charlottesville to Atlanta to Amsterdam to BKK, r/t was $2000. Atlanta to BKK will be less…

Search Skyscanner. Southwest to lax. Lax to bkk. China Air or Eva Air. Buy DIRECTLY through airline NOT 3rd party. Van from bkk to Pattaya. Last round trip to bkk from Ohio was $1,300

No direct flights from US. Vancouver I believe the only North American City that has a direct flight. The flights go through Different countries depending on Airline. For me I always check flight times. Depending on the Airline between 25-35+ hours.
Delta Partners with Korean Air and go thru Seoul. Others use Tokyo, Dubai, and others.

Just 2 weeks ago I was in Pattaya together with my wife and son. We flew to Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok and booked a taxi in advance to bring us to our hotel in Pattaya. The taxi service we used is called 'Taxi Airport Bangkok'. It was 1,700.- THB for one way. The trip from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Pattaya is around 1 hour 20 minutes. And of course we also booked the trip from Pattaya back to Suvarnabhumi Airport one week later. Very good taxi service. Here is the link:
Travelocity is a good source but I book the ticket through the airlines direct. If anything goes wrong it’s impossible to rebook with Travelocity. You might want to consider the bus from BKK to Pattaya. The flight is 20 mins and not worth the money.

I am definitely not one of those "just Google it" types but in this case, this question qualifies

Lots of flights from USD1k -1.4K on Ettihad , Emirates, Qatar etc Stay away from US carriers and you will be fine. There are lots of search engines, try them?
How is this a "group" thing? I had no idea that there was still people out there that have not heard by now.

From Atl your best bet is to fly to NY, SFO, or LAX first and then take the cheapest airline from there. You will save considerably by flying out of a hub other then Atlanta.
nice one, coming back was brilliant to be honest.... Going was a nightmare

The very cheapest way I found, is to buy a Phillipines to LA super save ticket about 6 months in advance - no kidding, I just checked recently approx. 400 round trip. This is to LA. I never go directly but take cheaper flights to LA and get a cheap one from there to where I want to go. Always saves money. Kayak.com is where I go for deals.
I like Monmondo, as it can handle "broken" flight segments, where you have short stays at intermediary stops. It's almost faster to get to Pattaya by way of Bangkok.
there was no plane to the airport for Pattaya which is quite far south, from Chiang Rai when I visited in May of '22, starting the day they ended the 1 day quarantine. I went up through Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai, over 10 days. I had to take a bus back down to Bangkok and then a mini-bus to Pattaya. I'd probably find a limo from BKK to Pattaya if I were doing that again.
Qatar from ATL to Doha on the way to BKK was full of (sorry to say) some of the nastiest people on the planet. When we arrived in Doha, we almost had to Wade through the mass of trash, dirty diapers, food containers and blankets, pillows and god knows what else… kids ran amok, and I’m sure the crew was mortified.

So look here Dick, i do alot of research and its good to see othere experience. If you dont have something intelligent to add. Shut up!
i was flying back and forth NYC/Thailand. before my first flight someone told me about 'over the pole' flight. it was direct NYC to Bangkok. wooow. cheaper and quicker. i did it many times before they stopped the flight.
i agree but occasionally someone knows something. i wanted to fly to China. the price was about the same all over the internet. then someone told me to go direct to China air? woow, saved some money there. i agree with you but my wife likes to ask others...mostly friends. she found an airline with a

price promotion. i was shocked but the dates did not match my needs. it can happen by asking others.

When you search for flights, open an incognito tab or private tab first then start searching for flights.
Google flights and most booking agencies will use your cookies/search history to make the prices you see even higher because they know you may have searched it before, so it’s best to use an incognito/private tab so that there are no cookies or search history.

Been flying Singapore air out of NY or Newark no economy only premium economy and cheapest premium economy,
Great food is eveywhere in Thailand. And I mean everywhere. And there is plenty of spots with clearer water and nicer beaches. In any case, have a great trip!
Only a few times. In Pattaya right now in fact.......having to do a border bounce and try to get a bank account through a agent. Know a cheap one? All I get is $5500 baht and up. Not a sex tourist......too old.
there are no direct flights to Pattaya from Atlanta. The nearest airport is U-Tapao, which is indeed an international airport. But for the time being you only can travel there with Fly Dubai. Certainly not directly from Atlanta.

Constantly varies. Use the websites mentioned above and also momondo.com. they show graphically the best times to fly. I just returned to ATL 2 weeks ago. It was not cheap. The high season is almost over so you should see some better prices. Also some airlines do not show up on aggregator sites so search direct with the airlines too. And Pattaya does not have an airport so you will fly into BKK and take a taxi.
my bad, you are correct about no direct flights… I have searched a lot of different ways in the last few weeks and forgot. I was just looking on Skyscanner and see that there are no direct flights. There are some one stop that are not bad.
best to do a flight from the west coast. There are direct flights to Singapore and that gets you the closest. Then take an Asian Airline to Thailand. Plus Singapore is the best airport in the world.
There is no such thing. Flight prices are dynamic. Check them on Google flights. PS there are no flights to Pattaya, you fly to Bangkok and take a car/bus to Pattaya
It really depends on when you go and for how long. I've always stuck with Expedia to find the best flights. This time it turned out to be United and ANA.
Great sources for research. Also try Hopper. Book directly though the airline once you find the flight. Save a huge headache if there needs to be any changes. Just remember you have to fly to Bangkok and take a bus, train, taxi or private transportation to Pattaya
