TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has an extension until July 31 under the visa amnesty but is uncertain about what will happen if they cannot fly back to Australia by that date. Comments suggest that after July 31, the situation is unclear, as it depends on the current visa status and future updates regarding the amnesty. Suggestions include contacting the Australian Embassy and the possibility of applying for further extensions if they meet specific financial and insurance criteria.

Okay, let's sort this out. The O/P did NOT get any "extension" until July 31st <- as in they have NO stamp that says they can stay that long.

They went on the amnesty when their current entry stamp ran out..

NO one knows IF you can get more time or not when the amnesty ends <- and seeing as you're ON amnesty you're going to be having to watch for the news about what amnesty holders do once the amnesty is getting readiy to run out

It is not clear what kind of Extension of Stay you got until 31 July. Can you please tell us more about this Extension of Stay or show us a picture of the stamp in your passport without personal details, thanks

You currently have an O-A visa based on retirement. You could apply for an extension of it at your local Thai immigration office. You will need to meet the financial requirements for it with 800,000 Thai baht in a Thai bank plus have the health insurance policy which meets the minimum requirements for the

O-A visa extension.

May I suggest you contact your Australian Embassy in Bangkok.

There are repatriation flights to Australia being arranged.

The visa amnesty lets you stay in Thailand no later then July 31. It is unknown what would happen after July 31.

*IF* you have a full sticker in your passport called a multiple entry visa (such as a multiple entry non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai national), and *IF* it is still valid after July 31, AND *IF* the borders reopen, then border bounce out of Thailand and return for another 90 day stamp.
