I have a question regarding the financial proof requirement of 500,000 THB. I’m applying through the Thai Embassy in Rome, and on their website it states: “12,500 EUR (500,000 THB)”.
I’m a bit confused, since the two amounts are not exactly equivalent, especially with the current exchange rate, where 500,000 THB is more than 13,000 EUR.
Should I follow the amount in Thai Baht or is the 12,500 euros equivalent sufficient?
The reason I ask is because in some months my account balance was slightly above 12,500 EUR, but not always over the full 500,000 THB equivalent — just around the threshold.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on whether to provide financial proof of 500,000 THB or 12,500 EUR for a Thai visa application at the Thai Embassy in Rome. There is confusion due to the discrepancies in these amounts based on current exchange rates. Community comments suggest varying opinions, with most recommending that the applicant ensure the balance is at least 500,000 THB to be safe, as that is the direct requirement stated.

Just go with the amount as per your embassy website as they will make their decision based on the € required balance as per italian bank account and not a thai bank account (we must show at 800,000 for yearly extensions).
Anonymous participant if you look at the posts, some embassies require even more than 500k thb, because its their currency that matters more... and the guidelines were made long time ago
