TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus from community responses is that proof of 500,000 THB in a personal bank account is generally required for Thai visa applications. While some participants suggested that investment funds and other assets might support the application, most emphasized that only bank accounts are widely accepted. A few users mentioned that funds in accounts like Revolut may be acceptable, but the emphasis is on having clear availability of the required amount.
As long as you have the 500k thb in your account three months, then yes your other investments can support your application. If you mean you've got less than 500k thb and want to make up the different with investments, then no.

They don’t accept bats here.

Only a personal bank account is accepted everywhere. Other methods are embassy specific.

I have emailed a few embassies in the US on this issue and am waiting for a response. I will post when I hear back.

Anonymous participant 981 A "few embassies" doesn't matter. In the US you can only file with the embassy/consulate covering the state you are in. New York & Washington want to see liquid funds not stock or other investment funds

Look through previous posts.. This is asked every day. Basically no. Personal bank account. Their might be a rare embassy or Consulate has accepted investment etc
Would a Revolut account be acceptable if I have the full required amount in my personal account, but it’s divided between flexible money market funds and a robo-advisor?

Anonymous participant Revolut is ok for applications, but I’m not sure if is divided into investment pots / accounts if this’ll be ok. They want to see that you have money available to spend in Thailand, if there’s a way for you to show one statement with a total balance across your accounts you may get away with it but be aware you are running a risk of rejection
