I was looking at the soft power DTV application and saw that it is asking for employment details. While I am technically still employed until November, I feel I should say I am unemployed as that is what I'll be once I move to Thailand. Thoughts? My employer wouldn't provide me with a letter saying I'm allowed to work abroad.
Seemed odd to me that they're asking for employment details for the soft power DTV.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The sender is considering how to fill out the employment details section of the soft power DTV application, given that their employment will end before moving to Thailand. Community responses suggest that it's acceptable to indicate unemployment if that reflects their situation at the time of moving. Others shared that recent applicants have provided minimal documentation, and financial stability can also be shown through savings or investments to satisfy the application requirements.
I applied for softpower and I put freelance and my salary range and they never asked for anything else. I didn’t provide any documents from employer at all. I think documents are only required for workcation.
It is fine to put you are unemployed. More embassies want to see how you can support yourself on SP hence employment info request. You can submit additional savings , investments etc to show your financial independence.
