What should I keep in mind for my selfie for the soft power DTV application?

Hi everyone, I have been asked to provide a selfie with the date inside of where I'm staying (applying for soft power DTV in HCMC) - do you know if there is anything specific about the picture that I need to have in mind? I'm also providing a pdf of the official booking. I took a close up shot so you can see the date that I wrote, but unsure if that would pass. Thanks for help 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
When submitting a selfie for your Soft Power DTV application, it's important to capture proof of your current location. To meet the requirements, consider taking a selfie in front of your accommodation while holding an identifiable document such as a receipt or a newspaper with today's date visible. This helps confirm your presence at the address you provided in your application. Some applicants have successfully used close-up photos as part of their submission, but having an extra proof of purchase can strengthen your case.

Last night i was asked for more proof of my current jurisdiction (like utility bill, which I don’t have); and I literally wrote in my letter of explanation that I can provide a pic of myself on the premises lol. Though I’m applying from LA embassy, I didn’t know that was something they’d potentially ask for.

Best of luck that your photo submission gets you approved!!! 📸

They're looking for proof that you remain in the location you applied from. So holding a receipt for a purchase with the current date on it or something like that
