What should I do about providing a flight number when applying for the DTV in Thailand?

Hello,

I am currently in the middle of getting my documents together to apply for the DTV in HCMC later this week.

Question about flight number for entering Thailand. I have not booked my flight from HCMC to Bangkok because I am not sure how long the Visa will take to process. At the same time I want to go to BKK as soon as my DTV is approved.

What is the best way to navigate this?

If I don't provide one and explain why in the cover letter will this be enough?

Or do I buy a ticket and if my DTV isn't approved eat the cost of changing dates or flights?

Thank you

All advice is welcome.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a DTV visa in HCMC, applicants are unsure whether to provide a specific flight number to Bangkok, as they have not booked their ticket yet. Responses indicate that it is acceptable to submit a tentative flight number or even any flight number since there seems to be no strict requirement for verification. Including an explanation in the cover letter about the uncertain flight details is also suggested. Ultimately, applicants should weigh the potential cost of changing flights against the convenience of having a booked ticket.
