Selecting agency for DTV

Have all my documents in order, prefer using a agency to process this (I know it’s a simple process) however two agency’s are advising they do not need me to log into the Thai e-visa website and they do it on my behalf.

The question is, anyone who’s had a agency process their visa for them has had the same process or did they have access to the e-visa website?

Thanks
Answer summary
The post discusses the user's experience with two visa agencies that claim they can process the DTV visa on their behalf without requiring the user to log into the Thai e-visa website. The user is seeking opinions from others who have used agencies for this process, particularly whether they had access to the e-visa website. Comments reveal concerns about agencies retaining control over the application, potentially leading to a lack of transparency and tracking ability for the applicant. Many advise that it's better to apply directly to maintain access to the application and its updates.

Hi! That's actually a common issue with some agents — they submit the application using THEIR account on thaievisa.go.th, so applicants lose direct access to track or update their case.

The official Thai e-visa portal allows YOU to create your own account and apply directly. You don't need an agent to gatekeep your DTV file. If your agent is refusing to share login access, that's a red flag — you should be able to see your own application at any time.

If you want help applying directly under your own account (with full transparency, no gatekeeping), feel free to DM me 🙂

What if the Embassy they apply through looks at the IP address the application has come from and shows it to be from a different country to the one you are in. Most want VPN switched off to log in

BeautifulDragon2531 yes! Hence I got ref code (500 THB off)

They offer very reasonable prices for soft power training and even more reasonable for service. And I selected one with money back guarantee in case something went wrong. Got it in a week

Which two visa agencies told you that you wouldn't be permitted to view your application?

So you want a agent to log into the page for you, and upload and press send? If you think your papers are in order, do it yourself. If you want someone to look over your papers there are several in here doing it cheap

no they are advising they do the entire evisa Thai website process on my behalf which I found strange

BeautifulDragon2531 the evisa account is personal, giving a agent access makes it so they controll it ans not you, this means everytime you need access to thw visa page in the future you would need to contact the agent. Be smart here.

BeautifulDragon2531 and with your staying in Thailand while waiting for the DTV visa to be approved ???

that would be a big no no and any agency offering this should be avoided.

BeautifulDragon2531 The agents have a lot less work since the online system has been in place.

possibly that's what is causing the Denied applications by some Thai Embassy's and Consulates...ie HANOI. Seeing the boilerplate prepared applications from the same email address... hmmmmm 🤔

some pages or posts make it seem like agency’s do thousands and then some feel like they don’t do any, really perplexing

yep and they will blame the embassy when the client is rejected.

So you are at their mercy lol

@Greg *******
Yes, that's what the agents do, create the account in the applicants name. They submit the docs.

@Kurt ************
So they would create an account for you on the e-Visa website? Are they not supposed to be a personal account?

Why not log in by yourself? Making a Facebook account and asking a question in a group is more difficult.
