TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around obtaining a DTV visa in Thailand. Several commenters advise against using agencies due to high costs and potential scams, emphasizing that the process can be managed independently. Most agree that applicants must apply for the DTV visa at a Thai consulate outside Thailand. For assistance, some mention the website thaievisa.go.th and experiences with Siam Legal, which charges around $395. Several members highlight the importance of doing thorough research and accessing community knowledge instead of relying solely on agents.

No agent will be much help in this regard as you have to apply online and outside of thailand at a thai embassy via the eVisa service. nothing in person anymore. no agency will have their sketchy contacts play any significant role in increasing your chances to obtain the visa. everything they can do is look at your documents and answer questions. but this fb group can do the same for free…
there actually are agents that will do it, but those prices are very high, around 90,000 -100,000, and I’m not talking about the ones that will just assist you with the paperwork. However, I certainly don’t recommend going down that route..
When agents deliver what they promise, it is not scam, but just expensive for a service you can simply do yourself when you fully comply with the requirements.

Siam Legal charge $395, that is all I know, not used them but they have been in business in Bangkok etc for decades
Are you sure? Just yesterday you were claiming bank account holders need documents from immigration every year to keep accounts opening and functioning?
There is nothing required at the bank each year from immigration. Please tell us the document that is required. You are the only person I have ever heard claim this. I have never been asked by my banks for anything from immigration each year. Please point yo your sources and somebody told me is not a source.
I'm telling you that people who apply for the following visas must ask for time from the immigration office first to open an account and must bring documents from the immigration office to confirm every year.
The first thing to note is you can't get a DTV visa inside Thailand. You need to apply at a Thai consulate and there aren't any in Thailand so be very wary
But if you have nothing and have no proof of funds you may expect numbers like this.
But if you have the real funds documents and only you need the enrollment of the course and you need the agency to handle the submission and put the paperwork in the right order for you
