What should I do about my bank statement if it's not available during my visa application?

Question regarding bank statements:

As you might know, the current month’s bank statement (with the proper name and address) is usually only available for download at the start of the next month. If you’re applying in the last week of the month and the statement isn’t ready yet, how do you handle this?

Do you just screenshot the transactions from the website or bank app (even if they don’t include the name and address) to show activity for that month? Is it better to print them on the day of your appointment or walk-in, or is it acceptable to print a few days before?

I understand it might vary by consulate, but could you please share what you did for your DTV application and which consulate you applied at?

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about how to handle the bank statement requirement for a DTV visa application when the current month's statement isn't available until the next month. They are considering whether a screenshot of transactions without name and address would suffice or if printing a statement prior to the appointment is acceptable. Comments suggest flexibility depending on the bank and personal experiences with statement availability.

It depends on your bank I guess. But every bank I've ever been with allowed me to download my current statement until today (well, every bank after the internet was invented).

Are you suer you cannot do this? If so, I'd just wait until the beginning of the month but it seems bothersome. 🙁

Same here, for all my banks I can download statements with startdate and enddate.

When having an appointment, I guess it might be an idea to show the current balance in your bank app as an addition to the printed statements.

Yeah, I think that's a good idea. Better bring too many copies / screenshots, than not enough. 🙂
