the system shows 340$ for each of us which according to my research is not the current amount. chat GPT says it should show me single entry option which im also confused about. do I get only single entry? anyway its asking for $680 total for both of us. I sent an email to the embassy but im not sure of they answer. anyone has any experience with it? do i need to pay this much again for both of us?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking assistance with applying for DTV visas for herself and her daughter, noting that the application system shows a fee of $340 for each, totaling $680. There is confusion regarding whether they are applying for single or multiple entry visas, as well as the varying fees at different embassies. Comments from the community indicate that the fees may vary according to the embassy, often costing around 10,000 THB per person. It is clarified that both applicants must submit separate applications, referencing the main DTV holder's visa and providing necessary documentation like marriage certificates and bank statements. Overall, the user will need to pay the total fee for both applications.

It costs THB 10,000 per applicant. However, due to foreign exchange, the local embassy may decide to set higher rates.

Chatgpt is incorrect, not the most reliable source for serious things like immigration. Always read information from the actual embassy website. In this case, yes both you and your daughter's applications will cost $680 for both. Once apporved, the dtv is multi entry so you wont have to pay anything further.

Forget Chat GPT, it's lying. Chat GPT will also tell you that some nationalities (including mine) are not eligible for the DTV, which obviously a lie because I got it without issue.

Why do you need to use ChatGPT? The procedures are straightforward; simply follow the instructions. Anyway, the decision to approve or not comes from humans, not AI.

Chat GPT is giving you the information for a "single entry tourist visa" which is a single entry visa and valid for 60 days.

Don't know where you're getting a single entry from, it clearly says multiple now that you've selected DTV. You will make two separate applications one for you and one for your child referring to the main DTV holder Visa number a sponsorship letter for funding from the main Visa holder as well as their bank statement. You'll also need to provide birth certificate for the child and marriage license for yourself as a spouse. Everybody pays the visa processing fee of approximately 10,000 baht, fee varies slightly according to the particular Embassy.

Anonymous participant finally be extremely careful with the OCR data inputted after the passport bio data pages have been uploaded, well known to make incorrect entries, so triple check everything after uploading and make any necessary corrections.

the original applicant (husband) was approved with a sponsorship letter from his father. What type of sponsorship letter can the original applicant offer the wife and child? Can the father in law also sponsor then?

"Hi everyone

my husband got approved under DTV

thank you for this group and all the helpful information 😀

we applied in Hanoi on the 8th 8 AM of october

same day they requested more documents: stamp on the passport for being outside of thailand, for the 500k baht we used his dad as sponsor( since we travel alot and we recently purchased a house in another country we did not have it in our checking accounts for the past 3 months and we decided last minute on staying in thailand. they asked for his dad’s bank statement which we got the stamped 3 months of his balance from the bank). and they requested documents showing the relationship with his dad which we provided birth certificate. the status changed to pending approval on the 9th and we just received the approval."

Every embassy have different price. Basic is 10.000 THB per person..but some have even 12.000 THB and more. You are applying for both of you under 1 application. But there are 2 visas..so 2 x 340 USD. Multiple entry is ok as you will have to extend it after 180 days.

@Rasim *******
all DTV Visas are issued as Multiple Entry visas valid for 5 years with a 180 day stamp on each entry into Thailand.

Correct 🤝..

Seems about the right amount per person. Prices can differ per embassy but I believe I paid about 350 euros.

The single entry could refer to the fact that every time you exit and enter the country, your 180 days start counting at 0 again.

yea my husband paid $350 but the website and google search was showing single entry and multiple entry option. single entry for 55$ and of course multiple for the same price. but now the website doesn’t give me any options other than multiple entry. I will go to the embassy tomorrow to find answers. i will update here

Anonymous participant For DTV there are no different options for single or multiple entries, only for other tourist visa

we are the dependent under a DTV holder.
Anonymous ******************
Anonymous participant single and multiple entry are related to the tourist visa and how many times you can enter the country, not number of people or married status. The DTV is always a 5 year multi entry visa

Anonieme deelnemer That's the same thing. Even as a dependent you're applying for a DTV visa. You get the exact same visa as your partner, there's no difference. Same price, same rules.
