TLDR : Answer Summary
The need to file a TM 30 when traveling within Thailand varies by immigration office. While the official rule states that re-filing is not necessary for domestic travel, some offices might still require it. For instance, the Samut Prakan office mentions that it's not needed for travels lasting 3-4 days, and the Bangkok office reportedly does not require a new filing if the traveler possesses the original TM 30 receipt. However, responses can vary based on individual officers, so it's advisable to check with your local immigration office.

I have found that Bangkok is not requiring you to file a new TM30 if you traveled inside the country as long as you have the original TM30 receipt showing the address where you stay.

BUT, your mileage may vary if you get a cranky officer :O
