We are DTV holders and got our visas from our home country. In 2025 we have already flown in and out of Thailand 4 times. Each stay is usually around 3 months, then we fly to another country for a short holiday about a week and come back again.
By the end of 2025, our total time in Thailand will be around 240 days. We are planning to fly to Laos again in January and return after a week.
Just wondering if anyone here has stayed in Thailand for a similar number of days in 2025 and still had no issues re entering at the airport? We would really love to hear your experience.
We have 2 cats waiting for us in Bangkok, so we are a bit nervous about the possibility of being denied entry 😅
Thanks so much in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The query discusses concerns about re-entering Thailand after multiple stays totaling around 240 days in 2025, while holding a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV). Comments indicate that as long as the traveler holds a valid visa, there should be no issues with re-entry, regardless of the frequency of travel. Responses clarify that DTV holders can stay up to 365 days, especially if extensions are applied for, and recent immigration changes primarily target those without visas.
Thank you everyone for your friendly comments! I feel so much better and hope for the best! 😊

Been in Thailand for most of the year. Went to the US for 2 weeks, Hong Kong for a week, VN to get my DTV and Singapore a few weeks ago. All flight originated at BKK and no issues at all.

A DTV holder has a maximum stay in Thailand of 365 days, if they apply for a 6 month extension. Your travel plans are not a problem with your visa. The recent clampdown is aimed at people using visa-exempt entries to stay in Thailand long-term. Visa holders are not affected.

You have the visa. There is no risk, you can stay as many days as you wish.

You have a multi entry visa, there is no prob with your pattern of travel. Don't worry, the recent changes are focused on those without a visa.

Catathome Nothing to worry about as long as you comply to visa requirements.
Only the number of days will make you tax resident, but that has nothing to do with the visa.
If you have to pay Thai tax or file tax completely depends on your pwersonal situation and DTA between Thailand and your home country.
