We are DTV holders and got our visas from our home country. In 2025 we have already flown in and out of Thailand 4 times. Each stay is usually around 3 months, then we fly to another country for a short holiday about a week and come back again.
By the end of 2025, our total time in Thailand will be around 240 days. We are planning to fly to Laos again in January and return after a week.
Just wondering if anyone here has stayed in Thailand for a similar number of days in 2025 and still had no issues re entering at the airport? We would really love to hear your experience.
We have 2 cats waiting for us in Bangkok, so we are a bit nervous about the possibility of being denied entry 😅
Thanks so much in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses experiences of individuals holding DTV visas in Thailand, particularly their travel patterns and concerns about re-entry after extended stays. The poster has been in Thailand for about 240 days in 2025 and seeks reassurance regarding their upcoming return from Laos. Comments from other DTV holders indicate that their travel history does not present re-entry issues, affirming that visa holders can travel frequently without penalty.
I think your travel pattern exactly meets their expectation to a DTV holder. Your intended stay for 240 days is very reasonable. For me, I travelled out of Thailand for 2 times (before exhausting all 180 days in each entry) & I would have stayed for 350 days in Kingdom by the end of 2025.
Been in Thailand for most of the year. Went to the US for 2 weeks, Hong Kong for a week, VN to get my DTV and Singapore a few weeks ago. All flight originated at BKK and no issues at all.
A DTV holder has a maximum stay in Thailand of 365 days, if they apply for a 6 month extension. Your travel plans are not a problem with your visa. The recent clampdown is aimed at people using visa-exempt entries to stay in Thailand long-term. Visa holders are not affected.
