Hi everyone! I first entered Thailand on August 31st on my DTV visa, and I’ll be leaving on December 1st after using the full 90 days. I plan to come back again in January on the same DTV visa (for my Soft Power Muay Thai training).
With all the recent rule changes at Thai immigration, I wanted to clarify something:
👉 If I re-enter after 1 month, will I have to show accommodation proof, training proof, or any new documents again?
👉 Or will immigration stop or question me because I’m entering again on the same visa type within a short gap?
👉 Has anyone recently re-entered on the DTV after a short exit?
Any updated experiences or advice would be really appreciated — thank you! 🙏🇹🇭

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around concerns for re-entering Thailand on a DTV visa after a brief departure. The original poster seeks clarification on whether new documents such as proof of accommodation or training will be necessary upon re-entry. Responses from various users indicate that as long as the visa is valid, recent changes mainly affect visa-exempt entries rather than DTV holders, and many have had positive experiences with quick re-entries. However, it's noted that immigration rules can change quickly, so some caution is advised.
The recent visa exempt announcement is about visa exempts. Not DTV.
Currently what you asked isnt a problem, but as you know rules can change, unofficial 'rules' can be implemented by any officer and no one can answer for definite what will happen.
Are you leaving the country during scheduled classes ? That could cause questions.
90 day is just a simple address report that everyone must do, it has nothing to do with DTV or documents … it is a 2 minute procedure (except the waiting line).
To my experience and understanding you can come back no problem and only after 1 year you likely need to show documents again (have’nt done 1 year yet)
I've entered, exited and reentered already some 10 times during the past 15 months in my DTV. Will keep doing it, with my next trip home in a few days, after I'll come back again here. Never been asked to show or say anything.
Now, IF they were to ask me to show my proof of job, or my bank account trhu the mobile app, I'll do it. Zero problems with it, and of course zero problems with keeping well over B500,000 on my home country bank account (the one I used when I applied).
