What do I need to provide when re-entering Thailand on a DTV visa after a short exit?

ORIGINAL POSTER
Hi everyone! I first entered Thailand on August 31st on my DTV visa, and I’ll be leaving on December 1st after using the full 90 days. I plan to come back again in January on the same DTV visa (for my Soft Power Muay Thai training).

With all the recent rule changes at Thai immigration, I wanted to clarify something:

👉 If I re-enter after 1 month, will I have to show accommodation proof, training proof, or any new documents again?

👉 Or will immigration stop or question me because I’m entering again on the same visa type within a short gap?

👉 Has anyone recently re-entered on the DTV after a short exit?

Any updated experiences or advice would be really appreciated — thank you! 🙏🇹🇭

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the requirements for re-entering Thailand on a DTV visa after a brief exit. Given recent changes in immigration rules, there are concerns about showing proof of accommodation or other documents upon re-entry. Comments suggest that as long as one holds a valid DTV visa, they generally shouldn't face issues upon minor exits. However, the rules can be unpredictable, and participants share personal experiences indicating that documentation is usually not required unless specified by the immigration officer.

Again Robert proves he's completely clueless

The recent visa exempt announcement is about visa exempts. Not DTV.

Currently what you asked isnt a problem, but as you know rules can change, unofficial 'rules' can be implemented by any officer and no one can answer for definite what will happen.

Are you leaving the country during scheduled classes ? That could cause questions.

90 day is just a simple address report that everyone must do, it has nothing to do with DTV or documents … it is a 2 minute procedure (except the waiting line).

To my experience and understanding you can come back no problem and only after 1 year you likely need to show documents again (have’nt done 1 year yet)

Watch this space. Change is fast and often. Its always discretionary.

Nothing new applies to DTV

When you re-enter you need to fill up TADC.

I've entered, exited and reentered already some 10 times during the past 15 months in my DTV. Will keep doing it, with my next trip home in a few days, after I'll come back again here. Never been asked to show or say anything.

Mine was granted on remote job, tho.

I'm praying for your safe return. 😂😂

Now, IF they were to ask me to show my proof of job, or my bank account trhu the mobile app, I'll do it. Zero problems with it, and of course zero problems with keeping well over B500,000 on my home country bank account (the one I used when I applied).

@Elías *******
it won't happen. If you apply for an extension before 180 days you will have to show those funds again, but why would you do that to yourself?

The full 90-days 😃 How did you ppl even get a DTV in the first place? :D

i swear a simple iq test would be better than financial requirements

What full 90 days? Every entry gives you a 180 day stamp…

@Pete ******
have to report after 90 days

which has nothing to do with the OP’s post about exiting the Kingdom.

@Pete ******
You can also leave the country after 90 days instead of going to immigration for the report?

Well, yeah.....but that's kinda dumb isn't it?

The recent tightening of entries doesn’t apply to a valid visa holder

Not yet. Have a feeling they might start scrutinizing all those DTV with soft core classes that some never even attend.
