Is there a fine for a few hours to half-day overstay in Thailand, and will there be a stamp on my passport when I fly out?

Ok quick question actually I have read this here but cannot remember the answer. Few hours to half day overstay no 500 Bhat fine correct? and any funny stamp on passport while taking a flight out? overstay/understay etc?
