The Visa on Arrival (VOA) in Thailand is generally not extendable. It allows for a stay of 14 days, with no option for extension. However, nationals from certain countries eligible for a visa exemption may receive a 30-day stay, which can be extended for an additional 30 days at a local Immigration Office for a fee.

here's how the entry stamps dealy works people:
51 countries get a 30 day visa exempt entry when they show up without a visa, and it 𝗰𝗮𝗻 be extended for 30 days
5 countries get a 90 day visa waiver entry when they show up without a visa, and it 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 be extended for 30 days
6 countries get a 30 day visa waiver when they show up wihtout a visa and it 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 be extended for 30 days
2 countries get 14 day visa waiver entries when tehy show up wtihout a visa and it 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 be extended for 30 days
AND
18 countries BUY a 15 day Visa On Arrival when they show up here for 2000baht at passport control and it 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 be extended for 30 days.
. Sorry, but still one question for me remains. Can those VOA people ask for an extension, which is denied ofcourse, but then still get the "7 days to leave the country" stamp ? Thx !
We don't turn off comments in this group, thanks for understanding.

Assuming you're American, you will get a 30 days exemption which you can extend 1 time for another 30 days at your local Immigration Office for 1,900 thb.
Hi Olivier, been to Thailand many times but for unforeseen circumstances I will be traveling with only a 30 visa exemption from Australia! When you speak about extending for another 30 days at your local Immigration office, does that mean I can do this in any Province at their Immigration Office ? Is it a straight forward process?
your local Immigration Office is where your TM30 is made.
Assuming you're a national from the 64 countries listed above, yes, it's a very easy process, 1 form to fill (TM7), add a picture and pay the fee, wait for your request to be processed and go away with your extension stamped in your passport.
<yawn>. I know but I’m not wasting my time listing every single one like Mr Obsessive Personality Disorder you. ‘Over 50’ is good enough for me. Please don’t try to come over as an expert, Mr ‘I’ve been here 6 months and know it all’.
Now disappear and do some growing up for the next 5 years.
If Immigration put a stamp in your passport for "visa exempt" for 30 days then you can extend at an Immigration office for a further 30 days at a cost of 1,900 baht. After that you may or may not be able to get a Corvid extension depending on your circumstances and the Immigration office.
easy now, you could have gotten your own covid extension for 1900baht like thousands of people have done without handing your passport and 4K baht to an agent 🙁
