TLDR : Answer Summary
The Visa on Arrival for Indian passport holders typically cannot be extended. However, there may be exceptions where certain immigration offices allow for an extension if you can provide evidence of a flight leaving Thailand. Be prepared that this request might be denied, and if so, you may be granted a 7-day grace period to exit the country.

Your immigration office may allow you to apply for an extension - showing a flight out of Thailand. This application will be denied and you’ll be given 7 days to leave. Not all offices will allow this but the major ones generally do.
Thanks for your response but would it be possible to exit and enter again to opt for another visa or when i enter thailand can i apply for any other visa? because i want to spend atleast 2 months of holiday in thailand as i need to go back uk for masters after 2 months
- an option would be to fly to phnom penh - get a hotel near the riverfront - visit an agent - apply for 60 day tourist visa. Or pay 250 bht for mini bus to poipet - then bus to phnom pehn - apply for tourist visa and fly back to Thailand. If you search on skyscanner you can choose days when flights are cheap. 3000 bht return if you are flexible on dates. Good luck.
- just doinle check you are eligible for 60 tourist visa in Cambodia before you commit. I have never needed to but have done many times for my Cambodian fiancé
You can leave and come back. Currently the VOA will get you 30 days on arrival.
At this moment in time it appears there’s issues with ED visas/extensions. Reports are coming in of a nationwide refusal to issue them. Not many options for you other than that one.
