Hey all, quick question. On the Thai Visa NYC website it states that I need $7,000 bank statement to apply for a multiple entry tourist visa. Would this amount be the same if my wife and I are applying together and it's a joint account?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirements for the multiple entry tourist visa (METV) may vary depending on the consulate's interpretation. Generally, for each person applying, the Thai Visa NYC website mentions a need for a bank statement of $7,000. However, some sources suggest that it could be interpreted to inquire about a family total based on a higher collective balance. It's advisable to check specifically with the consulate or the official website for updated and precise requirements regarding joint accounts.

For METV, Canadian consulates say: A copy of a bank statement showing a balance of the amount equal to no less than 200,000 (Baht) per person or 400,000 (Baht) per family and NYC specifies single and family on single entry so I would assume single and family are different ofn Multi as well

I have a US passport and recently got my METV from Australia.. They were content with credit card statements -- if you don't happen to have a bank account with $$$$$.
