When do I receive my new Non-O visa based on marriage after applying at Phuket Immigration?

Hi everyone. Just a quick question about when I would receive my new Non-O visa based on marriage.

We are going to the Phuket Immigration office on Wednesday morning with everything required. My question is - do I get the visa the same day? It's been more than 10 years since I've done this and I can't remember.

Thanks for any help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the timeline for receiving a Non-O visa based on marriage when they apply at the Phuket Immigration office. They ask whether the visa will be issued on the same day of their application. Responses clarify that rather than receiving the visa on the same day, applicants typically receive a 30-day 'under consideration' stamp and must return after that period to obtain the actual yearly extension.

We arrived in Thailand on August 9th, so the visa started then. I've done a couple of visa runs before their due dates and now I'm near my next one. We are applying for the one year Non-O marriage visa.

You are NOT applying for a one year Non-O marriage visa, You have that already, you are applying for a yearly extension of stay based on marriage to a thai and on the fact you now hold a Non-O visa.

The visa didn't start then :/ your first 90 day entry did. The visa has a date of issue and an "enter before" date on it, That visa is good for a year from the date it's issued NOT the date you enter the country.

I'm on a marriage visa issued in Australia. It is good until August, however my next visa run is due by May 12th. This will be our third time gling to Immigration so we'll be fully prepared.

So you're on a year-long, multi-entry Non-O visa you got at a thai consulate and which requires you to 'border bounce' every 90 days so you can get another 90 day stamp.

Then my original comment is correct. You are NOT applying for any visa you are applying for a yearly extension of stay and it will go under consideration for 30 days, then you go back and get the year inked in

By that question I mean are you now on an extension of stay and you're getting another one OR are you on some other visa and are applying for a 90 day Non-O visa based on marriage all over again?

You aren't going to get ANY visa :/ You're applying for a yearly extension of stay based on marriage. You supply the documentation, the photos, etc pay your money and you will get a 30 day under consideration stamp, then after 30 days you go back and get the yearly extension inked into your passport.
