I would like to know if my visa is still covered by the amnesty even after my work permit has expired. Both my Non-B visa and work permit expire on July 15. I am not going to renew the contract of my current job.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the validity of their Non-B visa under the amnesty provisions after their work permit has expired. According to comments, they need to cancel their work permit and submit paperwork to immigration instead of letting their visa expire to ensure they are covered by the amnesty.

I'm shutting this down. This is not a travel advice group, especially travel advice about Japan. The OP has good advice.

Now we're getting somewhere (y) you're not on ANY visa, you're on an extension of stay

AND

Seeing as you're on an extension of stay you need to go cancel your work permit at the Ministry of Labour, THEN take that receipt along with your termination paperwork to the immigration office (you can do this a week or so before your actual termination date) and they will cancel your extension and give you a new stamp allowing you to stay until the termination date on the paperwork.

You CANNOT just let your extension run out and think you will be okay on the amnesty until July 31st. you NEED to cancel your extension of stay and then you will go onto the amnesty.

I’m in the same situation with Numasawa san. My work permit and stamp on passport expires on July 20. My country, Japan, may not open any flight by then. Can I extend or I’ll be overstaying

Oh! I didn't know that I'm not on any visa. The stamp I got in the end of March is completely same (just the date is different) with the stamps I got when I renewed my one-year contracts of my company.

Is it OK to cancel my work permit while I still belong to my company? According to your message, I should cancel it a week or so before July 15, but I am an employee this company until this day.

And one more question. How can I get "termination paperwork"?

are you on an extension of stay based on employment from the immigration office?

OR

are you on a 90 day entry from a Non-B VISA?

They are handled differently when you stop work.

My stamp says "extension of stay permitted until 15 JUL 2020". My work permit expires on the same day.

and one more time are you on the 90 day original stamp from the visa OR are you on an extension of stay. LOOK at your stamp in your passport and read the second line. Does it say "extension of stay permitted until"?

Thank you for the reply, Tod! I really appreciate. My visa is based on employment from the immigration office. I was supposed to quit my job and leave Thailand in the end of March, but I couldn't because of covid-19. My company kindly extended my contract until July 15 so that I can stay in Thailand.
