Hello. My visa non B is set to expire on 11 June. Since I just quit my company a few days ago, it will not be renew. As per the covid regulation, I can stay until July 31 in Thailand with my expire visa, is this correct? Nothing that I have to do, just be gone before July 31?

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the process following the expiration of their Non-B visa, particularly after quitting their job. Commenters clarify that the user can stay in Thailand until July 31, 2020, under the Covid-19 amnesty, but must cancel their visa extension before that date. They suggest visiting the immigration office with the necessary documents from the employer.

Btw the Thai to English translation was done by one of my Thai acquaintances, it's just an informal translation, but this is what you need, to cancel the Non B extension. πŸ‘

I found myself in similar position a couple of days ago and this Visa cancellation is not a very simple process, I didn't get any help online, so I had to make couple of trips to the Immigration office. I'm posting the list of documents that you need from your last employer to cancel the Visa extension and buddy you owe me a couple of beers for saving your time and money πŸ˜„οΏ½

perfectly explained. I will have my company cancel my WP this monday and then go to immigration.

that's the best then you will get the amnesty until no longer than the 31st of July :) and hopefully by then the covid-19 thing will be behind us and the borders will have opened back up

Good Luck, take care, stay safe :)

You are confusing the reason for the amnesty, AND really, seeing as you still CAN leave the country when you cancel your extension like you normally would have to this amnesty is a great benefit to you.

Cancel your work permit, take that paper and the one from your employer stating you are stopping working to the immigration office, cancel the extension you're on AND then you will automatically be able to go on the amnesty without a problem

I just got a confirmation that you have to cancel your visa BEFORE the work permit because you need your WP to cancel you visa. Crazy.

>My visa non B

Is this a one year extension of stay based on employment ("the stamp") or the 90 day visa ("the sticker"). If you have an extension of stay, you will need to cancel it before going on amnesty. If you have a visa, you will not need to do anything else.

> just be gone before July 31?

That is correct. On the amnesty, you can stay no later then July 31, 2020.

I have the one year stamp, the one you do after getting the work permit. I have been working for a bit more than a year. The renewal is set to 11 June but won't be done since I will no longer work for this company.

So I have to cancel it myself? Or my company should be responsible for that?
