Hi everyone. Although it has been explained so many times on this group already, I'm still having trouble understanding how the amnesty works.
My friend is leaving his job at his current school and needs to go and get his work permit cancelled, so this means that his visa would also need to be cancelled. My question is, does he need to cancel his Non-B visa now, and change it to a tourist visa, or can it wait until the amnesty is lifted? He is trying to avoid going to Chaeng Wattana.
Thanks
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeks clarification about the process for cancelling a Non-B visa related to a work permit cancellation in Thailand. They ask whether their friend should cancel it now or wait until the amnesty is lifted, aiming to avoid going to the immigration office.
