My non-b visa is going to expire on 30 April together with my work permit. I've signed a contract with my school for the next school year, but due to the current situation I was not able to obtain the documents required to extend my visa. Am I covered by amnesty until July 31? Do i still have to go to the Immigration Office to get a stamp?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about options as their Non-B visa and work permit are set to expire on April 30, and they are unable to obtain necessary documentation due to current circumstances. They ask if they are covered by the amnesty until July 31 and whether they need to visit the Immigration Office for a stamp. Comments suggest they should contact their immigration office for guidance and consider cancelling their current extension to utilize the amnesty program, given the difficulties in obtaining a medical certificate for their work permit.

It looks like this post is getting way off topic about finding medical certificates at specific hospitals. It looks like Pawel has some good advice; follow it.

Good luck!

Wait... I just realized something; are you working for the same school, or a different school?

it would be my third year in the same school. I was able to collect all required documents in previous years, but this time it's way more difficult.

I think your only option at this time is to go cancel your extension and then take the amnesty program until you can get the documentation in order to start the whole process over again..

sincerely good luck with it, sounds like your stuck between a rock and a hard place needing to get the med cert for your work permit renewal, but not being able to :/

Definitely GO and check with the immigration office BEFORE your current extension runs out, AND I'd go talk to the ministry of Labor too just to ask them what do to about not being able to get a med cert

I'd say you might NOT be covered at all, and you need to have your school contact the immigration office and see what your course of action should be.

I'd wager just letting this extension run out and doing nothing is NOT the way to go :/.

For people on long term extensions (like you) we are advising to GET your next extension like normal OR contact your immigration office to see what your next step is.

ok, thank you

And why can't your employer get the documents to give you so you can get a new extension again? I'm missing something here, most companies get those documents to their people about a month before their current extension expires?

Yeah not all hospitals offer all services/documents. If one won't give you what you need, just try another!

not in my school. I have to get all the documents on my own. The problem is, i can't get a medical certificate required for getting work permit. I was told at the hospital to come back in July.

and are you on a yearly extension OR on the original 90 day entry from a Non-B visa?
