Hey everyone. Quick question: I am reaching the end of my 2nd land boarder crossing for the year (Dec 3). Considering a flight into Yangon, Myanmar, and then to the Thai embassy for a 60 day tourist visa. Has anyone done this? And any recommendations? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question revolves around obtaining a 60-day tourist visa from the Thai embassy in Yangon, Myanmar, after reaching the limit for land border crossings into Thailand. Comments suggest that while there are specific documentation requirements for the visa application at the Thai consulate, there are generally no negative reports about the process. Additionally, there is a note on the number of Westerners applying for visas there, as it appears more common for Burmese citizens.

There are no negative reports from the thai consulate in Yangon about tourist visas. They do require what is listed on their website as far as documentation but other than that they're fine. Westerners rarely go there and you'll find way more burmese getting thai visas there than westerners.

how do land border crossings work? dont you need to have proof of flight out of thailand every time you enter? are you entering via land border with visa exemption?

you do NOT need proof of onward travel if all you're doing is border bouncing. Especially at the borders that routinely let people do it.
