Hi, I have a 60 day tourist visa right now that I got before I came to Thailand, will extend for 30 days in Thailand. After that if I would like another 60 days, is it possible? I know I would have to leave the country for several days and apply for one. Just wondering if they usually accept you having another 60 days if you've stayed for 90 days already. Anyone have experience with this? (I will probably go to Malaysia to apply.) Thanks
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether they can obtain another 60-day tourist visa after having already spent 90 days in Thailand on their current visa and a 30-day extension. Many commenters agree that it is possible, provided the user meets the requirements at the consulate they apply to, which can vary. Specifically, they mention that proof of funds, onward travel, and accommodation are typically necessary. There are various Thai consulates in Malaysia, with Penang noted as a potentially user-friendly location for visa applications.
