Hi. I just got my tourist visa in Yangon and they gave me 3 months. Is that normal? I paid $40 US. I have always only got 2 months. FYI. It was so fast and painless.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shares their experience of obtaining a 3-month tourist visa in Yangon for Thailand, which is longer than the typical 2-month issuance they had previously received. They mention the application process was quick and easy, requiring $40, two photos, and proof of onward travel. Some comments clarify that while the visa allows for a 3-month entry window, the actual stamp at entry grants only 60 days in Thailand.

Brad Thompson. Yes I did. $50 US for Myanmar visa. I spent 3 weeks there. Also. The famous Swedagon temple is nearby the embassy. You can visit for $10. I had already been to I took a taxi to the Aung Mingalar bus station and took the 5 hr drive to the Golden Rock temple. Visited that night. Left in the morning back to Yangon straight to the embassy. I could have left that evening but my flight was the next day. Iβll write a blog on Myanmar. Send me a message if you want it. Or fb request as I donβt want to spam on this page. ππΌπ²π²π

So fast. Time in was not more than 10 min. Time out was 30 min because they opened 20 minutes late.

Brad Thompson I needed
-proof of tickets in and out of Thailand
-2 photos
-$40 US, new bills only. They give change back in US
-And filled in paper work
No proof of hotel.
I stayed at the Hotel Azure as they were running a promotion for $14 on Agoda. It was the nicest hotel I stayed at in a year. A.C. hot water and the best bed. Super clean. Prices are usually $35 to stay here. It was a mile to the hotel. 22 min walk. I took a taxi for $1.50.

I'm pretty sure you're confusing the 90day period that the visa can be used to enter Thailand with the 60days that you'll get when you do decide to enter Thailand.

It's. Only 2months when you stamp in to Thailand. You have 3 months before. It expires.
