TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the process of applying for a 60-day tourist visa after multiple land border crossings in Thailand. It highlights that there is no set limit on the number of tourist visas one can apply for; however, Thai embassies may start asking questions if they notice a high number of visa stickers. Additionally, while each embassy has discretion over visa approvals, past entries into Thailand may impact future applications, especially if a traveler appears to be using tourist visas excessively.

Hmm country of origin play a major role. If u are from Africa, Middle East and-or muslim country or a combo of they above u will face discrimination from officer at a much higher frequency. Just do a research on this group about people having problem and 90%+ of the time they met the criteria above.

Many people have no problems and get lucky but local Consulates and Immigration have tightened up over the past year. Your country of origin has very little to do with an Imm Officers state of mind.

It take a lot to get denied a tourist visa assuming u have *proof of* what the embassy u apply ask. I burn through a entire passport with few overstays + part of the second passport and still no warning stamp. If u are from North America or West Europe u will face *positive discrimination* when it come to staying longer in Thailand without hassle, it's a fact.

If you entered thailand by land with a visa exempt entry twice already within this current calender year then yes, you need to fly in or buy a visa.

I'm also living in Thailand for the last 15 years. And no, it is not depending on your county. The only limit that Immigration has set is: For 54 countries, an entry by land border without a Visa and using the Visa Exempt Entry to 2 visits a calendar year.

Claire Licciardo You might be thinking of the visa exempt over land, which is 2.

There should not be any connection/correlation between the past exempt stamps and the application of a TV at an embassy. The embassy look at past stickers, not really exempt stamps. But of course even with a TV in hand its still at the discretion of the immigration officer at the port of entry. In my opinion you wont have any problems given the info you have stated above.

In regards to how many TVs, as said above by someone else there is no written limit but embassies will start to raise questions if they see a build up of stickers. Usually its embassy by embassy but there have been reports of certain embassies even counting stickers from other embassies in the region.

There is no limit on the amount of how many Tourist Visa you can have. BUT all the Thai Consulates and Embassies is the area making a count of the Tourist Visa in your passport. If they think you travel to much using Tourist Visa to Thailand they will put a warning stamp next to your visa, This person is traveling to Thailand with xxx Tourist Visa, next application could be denied
