TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the normalcy of receiving only a 7-day extension after initially entering Thailand on a 30-day visa exemption, which was later extended for another 30 days. Responses confirm that receiving only a 7-day extension after a second request is standard procedure, particularly if the individual entered Thailand without a pre-arranged tourist visa.

Your only choice would be to exit/re-enter the country to get a new 30 day visa exempt entry stamp OR go to a thai consulate in another country and BUY a tourist visa.

Yes - normal, the second extension - 7 day is actually an "extension denied" and you have to leave Thailand by the date stamped.

Yes...if you came in without a Tourist Visa...you got 30 days on arrival...extended it for 30 days...then tried to extend it again...DENIED and given 7 days to leave Thailand.

if you had a Tourist Visa you should have been stamped in for 60 days on arrival.
