Bit confused. It's possible to do two extensions one a single METV? 60 days + 30 days extension, need to leave for two months, then come back 60 days + 30 days? And how soon can I apply for the 30 days.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around the possibility of extending a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) in Thailand. It confirms that if a METV is still valid upon returning, the holder can receive a 60-day entry, which can be extended by another 30 days. However, if the METV is no longer valid, a return may only allow for a 30-day entry, also extendable by 30 days. The ability to apply for a 30-day extension depends on the discretion of the immigration officer, and applicants in Bangkok may do so 30-40 days before their original admission date.

In Bangkok you can apply something like 30-40 days before your "admitted until" date. I think it can be different in each immigration office.

if you are able to make the 30 extension more than once on your METV is up to the officer at immigration. There has been some people reporting they got refused more than a single extension pr visa

if your METV is still valid when you return you will get 60 days that can be extended by another 30 days at immigration. If not annika is right, you wil get 30 days and can extend that by another 30.. Its not possible to make more than one 30 day extension on each turist visa entry.
