Hi! Quick Question. Me and my girlfriend are currently in Thailand and going to Kuala Lumpur to get 2 month tourist visa. We have plan to stay for 3 months with 1 month extension. Is it okay to book a flight 3 months later from entering Thailand and show it to Consulate and Immigration? Did this question make sense? ๐Ÿ˜€

correct, you enter the country BEFORE the 'valid until' date to get stamped in for 60 days (which is what ALL tourist visas get you stamped in for). IF you try to enter thailand after that date the visa is no good and you'd have to get a new visa.

Still it gives you THREE months to enter the country.

, you misunderstand how that visa works :O

A single entry tourist visa is VALID for 90 days from the date it's issued <- that means you have 90 days to ENTER thailand on it.

When you arrive you'll be stamped in for 60 days.

If you need to extend that by 30 more days you can do it at the immigration office for 1900baht

Keep in mind that Kuala Lumpur has TWO different set of requirements depending on whether you're from a "listed" country or NOT.

Here's the requirements for non listed countries (Mongolia is NOT on the list of countries that have special requirements)

Most consulates that require proof of onward travel will allow it when it's 90 days out.

Make SURE you check the requirements for tourist visas at KL. They are a no nonsense consulate and you either tick all the boxes as far as the requirements or you don't get the visa

It is one of the easy ones. Checklist is published on their website, you can print out, check the boxes, sign it. When there hand over all the papers and pick up the Visa next day. No surprise in requirements.
