Hi everyone,
We’re travelling to Thailand on a 60-day tourist visa, which we’re planning to extend by a further 30 days once we’re in the country. As such, our flight out of Thailand is booked for 83 days after our arrival. Will the Thai authorities approve the 60-day tourist visa if the onward travel is booked for a date beyond those 60 days? The Thai Embassy in London didn’t seem to be sure either way.
Thank you all!
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether the Thai authorities will approve their 60-day tourist visa despite having an outbound flight booked for 83 days after arrival, indicating they plan to extend their stay by 30 days. Comments suggest that recent approvals for such cases have been granted by embassies, and that having an outbound ticket within 90 days typically suffices. Some users recommend obtaining an onward ticket within the 60 days to avoid any issues at the airport.
