Hi everyone,

We’re travelling to Thailand on a 60-day tourist visa, which we’re planning to extend by a further 30 days once we’re in the country. As such, our flight out of Thailand is booked for 83 days after our arrival. Will the Thai authorities approve the 60-day tourist visa if the onward travel is booked for a date beyond those 60 days? The Thai Embassy in London didn’t seem to be sure either way.

They approved mine with a return flight 150 days later but the IO at Suvarnabumhi airport didn't like it and told me I needed a NonO visa for 150 days

You can enter with 60 days visa if an outbound flight within 90 days is available

90 day non O visa online $100 bucks money well spent if you don't want to leave the kingdom for a night. You never know your girl may have another birthday party.

Recent reports from the London embassy are that they've been approving this type of application. Whoever replied to you from the embassy was full of $hit though because the embassy staff still process the applications so it's their decision.
