oh. Surprisingly my transfer of 68k baht came super fast today from usa to Bangkok bank. I had expected a delay due to Thai bank holiday. However...its coded, as dep trf fr ech. Same as in September2025. Not FTT. I expect it transitioned via kasikorn again and will have to go to Laemchabang branch to get international transfer confirmation letter. Ugh

Bangkok bank has fixed wwhatever the issues were they had with wise. All my transfers have been almost instant lately i love it.

Did you select both options in Wise for your transfer, funds for long term stay AND selected Yes for Will you require proof of Foreign Exchange Transaction?

in that case I've no idea what that new option in Wise is for. It didn't exist when I did my last transfer 10 weeks ago

John John I’ve found all that does is say you can get proof at Bangkok Bank. That was as recent as this am.

Why Laem Chabang to get it coded?

I had the same thing happen transferring from Wise to Bangkok Bank multiple times last year (shows transfer via Kasikorn) What I did was print my transfers from Wise to Bangkok Bank and easily able to line the dates up for the immigration officer.

What did you do for your statement or letter from Bangkok Bank? It was the most difficult part of the entire extension process. Literally “argued” with bank manager to get them to draft it up.

I want to produce a foreign transaction letter proving that my wise transfer went first to kasikorn, then to bkk. I was told the wise transfer document was not sufficient . the laem chabang kasikorn branch is the nearest to me with an international services desk and i already obtained a letter from them due to a exact same issue back in September. I dont want my extension delayed due to a coding issue.

When it happened back in September i took my wise transfer document to jomtien immigration and showed it to the io. I wasnt due for renewal then anyway. He said no. Gotta get letter from kasikorn. which i did right away. Now i will have to get another one. Due for renewal this month.
