Can I ask a question which has been answered before. It’s because the rules change so frequently, I’ve just spent 2 months in Thailand ( I’m from uk ) my holiday finished on the 22nd of may … how long is it before I can come again to Thailand ( 3 months this time ) … is it 6 month gap ??? Thank you for your time & patience

TLDR : Answer Summary
The rules for returning to Thailand after a holiday can vary. There is no strict rule dictating a set period for waiting before returning, but generally, travelers can return at their discretion. However, frequent entries without a long break may raise questions from immigration officers. Some travelers report visiting multiple times annually without issues, while a few suggest taking a break of at least a month or two between trips to avoid scrutiny.

To ensure the acceptance of your 60-90 day extension, I would stay home a month or two then go again.

every time you enter is a 60 day visa exemption. Each can be extended by 30 days for 1900 baht at any immigration office in the country

I know, that’s not relevant to what I wrote.

@Kate ******
what you wrote is pointless to the post.

You can ‘stay home’ all you like. But it makes no difference. The poster can come back immediately. There is no restriction.

I emailed London embassy and got this back ...

I think it depends on the immigration officer .

@Stephen *******
they have absolutely nothing to do with immigration offices or border control in Thailand

is that for 1 or 2 months at a time x 5 times a year ?

@Jeffrey ******
if it looks like that, they will do their job and question you. If you have the answers, proof of accom, money and a ticket out.. you will have no problems/

If you have a dodgy history already, obviously use and agency for border bounce or get FastTrack services at airport

60 days every time you enter. Each one can be extended by 30 days

thank you I was querying the gentleman’s post that he comes to Thailand with no problems 5 times a year , I just thought that if you looked to the Thai authorities that you are trying to live in Thailand ie 5 times a year x 2-3 months stay at a time that you could have problems ?

@Jeffrey ******
5 times 5 weeks.

There is no set rule.

If you have done one entry and then come back again, basically anytime, should be no problem.

However if you have a history of entries into Thailand that they believe you are trying to live in Thailand, you may have problems.

It's all up to the officer you are in front of.
