Hello all! I have a question. My partner and I did one visa tourist renovation through Samui airport. We were in thailand from may until August. 6 days trip and we turned back a few days ago.

My question is if we go on november 1month or so to do another trip. Can we come back to thailand by flight to stay 3 months again?

We did renewed visa tourist once this year. November will be the second one.

Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of returning to Thailand for another three-month stay on a tourist visa after already renewing it once earlier in the year. The community responds with varied advice, emphasizing that while immigration procedures can allow for such a return, the final decision rests with the immigration officer. There's also discussion about the difference between having a tourist visa and entering visa-exempt, as well as the limitations on total days allowed in Thailand per year.

First, do you actually mean you have tourist visas or you are entering visa exempt? Tourist visas are applied for online via the embassy. Visa exempt is when immigration lets you in without a visa. Each time you came in, did you go to immigration and extend from 60 days to 90 days? It will come down to if the immigration officer feels you are trying to live here and not really tourist. Hard to know what they will do, having an actual visa from the embassy usually makes it much safer

After 180 days, you'll no longer be a tourist. Your tourist visa will be useless.

I think you can not stay more 180 days in 1 year

That's not entirely true. It's about how you enter the country.Doing it on multiple visa exempts and extensions incl border runs, will eventually get you flagged by immigration way before 180 days. The 180 days limit is tax related.

So what is the maximum number of entries or the day limit for you?

No problem

If you arrive on a tourist visa it should be ok. But it's always up to the immigration officer.
