Hello everyone. I'm planning to apply for a Muay Thai DTV in France this year-end. If everything goes well and I receive my visa-approved email, how many days do I have to enter Thailand? It seems that the waiting times at the Thai consulate in Paris are long, and I haven't bought my ticket to Thailand yet. Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚

TLDR : Answer Summary
Once your Muay Thai DTV visa is approved, you have up to 5 years from the issuance date to enter Thailand. Additionally, the current waiting time at the Thai consulate in Paris is approximately 12 days for visa processing.

A DTV is valid for 5 years from the date it is issued. You have 5 years to enter Thailand.

Thank you for the answer. So, let's say my visa is approved today, can I have my flight to Bangkok for example next October? I thought I had 30 days or 3 months before having to validate it at airport immigration. I'm not sure to be very clear. Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚

you wouldn't have any issues doing that. It's valid from the day it's issued until the expiration date on the visa itself which is 5 years.

time starts ticking down once it's approved, so you'll lose a little bit of time off the 5 years.
