Friends, for general ease is it better to get the long-term visa in the home country? Or in Thailand itself. I don’t have any sort of monthly guaranteed income but I can satisfy that ฿800,000+ bank deposit requirement if needed. Currently, I’m home in my country. What’s a better option? Canadian

TLDR : Answer Summary
When considering whether to obtain a long-term visa for Thailand in your home country or upon arrival in Thailand, it's generally advisable to do it in your home country. This approach can save you time and effort, preventing the need for multiple trips to immigration offices in Thailand. Additionally, if you don't have a Thai bank account yet, you will need the visa to open one upon arriving in Thailand.
