How long does it take to do a second 90-day report after a visa extension in Thailand?

does anyone has any experience how long it takes for being able to do the second 90D report if and when the first has indeed been done in person after the usual new extension as it seems to take some time before the database gets updated reflecting the new extension

TLDR : Answer Summary
The second 90-day report can take longer than expected if you have recently received a visa extension. Many expats have reported that after getting a new extension, they are unable to use the online system for their next report and must file in person. This is often due to a delay in database updates, with some suggesting that you should complete the report at least 14 days before the due date. Confusion abounds around the timing and requirements for in-person reporting after an extension.

I had to go to immigration today to do my 90-day after new visa extension January 2nd..

I asked why and was told that it must be done at least 2 weeks before notification, not 2 days (although I said I tried just short of 2 weeks ago and told, once again, 14 days, not 2 days !).

Is 14+ days correct ?

In person you can apply from 15 days before (exactly 2 weeks western count) down until 7 days AFTER the due date with no fine..

Online you can do it from 15 days before (again 2 weeks western count) down until the due date.

Thanks

, as suspected, which shows there is no point asking questions when visiting provincial offices.

not correct for reporting in person

FWIW: I talked to the officer who runs the 90 day reporting section at MTT and he said it was a "check and balance" to make sure you hadn't gotten an extension stamp from another province (under the table) BUT he could have just been making up a story rather than saying he doesn't know

unfortunately IF you did a new extension between your last 90 day report and this current one you will not be able to use the online system (OR that is my experience after trying close to a dozen people's reports online AFTER they got a new extension)

You will have to go and file a new report in person :(

will be wait and see in 2.5 month then if this time i can do 90D online but seem the mobile application only retains all data from the last online applications done even the last notification doesnt show in there as not done online but in person

no i did the 90 D report in person after the extension as i know the first one after an extension one cant do online but i see all data in the application still show the old extension so seem the data not up to date

what a bummer :( usually IF you do a 90 day report AFTER you got your new extension it resets the system :/ sorry about that.

Is this bangkok?

Just curious does the mobile app show you're on 'overstay' when you log in? If so that means they didn't update the system

that is what mine showed.(overstay) Went to korat imm today and asked about it. They had no idea, just told me if it happens again I can just come in. I said I know but I’m trying to not have to come in. Still no answer. 🤷🏽‍♂️

it does show i am "normal" no overstay and yes was in BKK .. looks like they not updated the new date on the extension yet so i wondered how long that takes right now it still shows

/2020 but status normal

strange, that it would show 'normal' but the date still doesn't show your current extension entered.

There is no telling IF it will update without you going again.

Remember you do 90 day reporting at MTT though not C/W :)

same happened to me. Date did not update after yearly extension so on the app it shows "november 2020" and status "normal"...
