Hello 👋 I am applying for the DTV visa this week, but my husband cannot apply together with me because he is on a business trip and when he returns, his passport will need to be renewed due to having less than six months validity. Is there a gender restriction for the primary DTV visa? And can the DTV Spouse Visa only be applied for by a wife?

We are concerned that the visa office might ask why my husband is applying for the spouse visa and potentially reject the application.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV visa (Digital nomad visa) does not have a gender restriction for the primary visa holder, meaning both men and women can apply. A husband can apply for the DTV Spouse Visa based on his wife being the primary DTV holder. Concerns about application rejection due to gender or marital roles are unfounded, as the visa office focuses on the legality of the marriage and mutual consent.

Strange. You posted back in July that you already had the DTV application approved

Nothing wrong with a husband applying for a dependent DTV visa based on the wife being the primary DTV holder.

Gender restriction? There is no question on the website asking about Gender, nobody cares what you and other people do behind close doors, as long as you both are adults and have mutual consent.

Be aware that if you identify as cat/dog you might get neutered and your ear might cut as proof.

If your husband works on-line he need to apply with purpose workcation, not as dependent on his spouse.
